Another day gone
No one really cares
You try to keep the mask on
Just like they want
Tell everyone that you are fine
In hopes no more questions
Water fills behind the windows
Trying to seep it’s way out
Somehow you push it back
As if sandbags lined the base
You okay
I hear again
I say I’m fine
A quick nod
Even I’m here
They continue about their day
They can’t see in the windows
Nor the time to look
I’m a problem child
Don’t ya know
The one that ruffles feathers
Tries for change
Fight for others
When it’s my turn
Who is there for me
The backs are turned
I’m alone
I noticed
You can’t notice the same
Not everyone has their world drowning
Maybe I’m the exception
No matter my life
I will stop
Ask you
Are you okay
Listen if I need too
You can’t do the same
I see it now
I forgot how it is
No one cares about the person who care so much
Why would they
It’s best to see the empty shell
The mask that’s portraying
Shadows behind the windows
Maybe someone will listen
Is that person you
