Remembering You

 I breathe you in

As if it was my last day

Remembering what you smell like

Wishing you were here

You in your overalls

And a white shirt

And muddy shoes

You smell like your summer job

Only if I knew that day

Would have been my last

I see you sitting there

Across the room

You stopped me dead

You looked at me as I looked at you

Our stares locked

Like if we were the only ones

No one else was there

I loved you

I loved you more than any other

I come back

I breathe you in

Not knowing this would be my last

I remember how you smelled

How you smiled back at me

How you hugged me

How you kissed me

I remember everything about you

I loved you

Loved you more than any other

More than you will ever know

I sit on a hill and cry

Cry harder than I have ever

You are no longer here

You will never know

How much you will be missed

I missed saying goodbye

I will never say goodbye

You still live with me

I remember how you smelled

How you smiled

How you hugged me

How you kissed me

I loved you

I love you more than an other

More than you will ever know

I miss you

I miss you everyday

I miss knowing you are here

I miss being able to talk to you

I miss everything good

I miss you

I love you

I will always remember you

Can You Hear Me

The tall dark shadows loom above Looking up to find that peace Lost in the world Standing alone Calling out “can anyone hear me” No reply ...
