I see you looming in the shadows
Creeping round the trees
Fingers wrapped around the trunk
Whispering my name
Waiting for me
I look at you
Seeing your dark eyes
Can’t finding a soul
I stand there watching
Watching you move closer
I do not move
You hissing
Creeping closer to the edge
I want to scream at you
Wanting you to go away
I stay quiet and not say a word
Moving closer to my face
The shadow engulfs me
Darkness fills me
The pain goes away
Not wanting to be here fills me
Wanting to call my long friend
Reaching out
I stop
I breathe just a moment
Now what do I do
Grab it or ignore it
That is the answer
