The trees stand tall
As I walk in the forest
Escaping the path
Hoping to not be found
The sun has set
The moon is high
The cold wind howling
The trees calling my name
I brush my hand
Along the flowers
Along the trees
To feel their soul
Their energy
Laying up ahead
Is a small dark cave
For there I go
For no one can see
Deep in the woods
The smell of the dew
The touch of the cold stones
That lay where I walk
I take my shoes off
Hide them in the ferns
Let the soft grass embrace me
Let me be one
I hide in the cave
Breathe everything in
For once in my life
I can’t be found
I close my eyes
Listen to the earth
Speaking to me
Allowing me to see it’s soul
The earth embraces me
For I am not here for harm
Just to get lost
And never be found
