The Burning

 I fall to my knees

With my head hung low

My hands in front

Nowhere to go

Eyes close tight

For the fear of what I may see

No one in front of me

No one to care

I feel a burning deep within

As it rises to my eyes

My arms wrap around

Holding

Comforting

Wherever they can go

The burning screams

To be let out

To be set free

My eyes won’t open

It doesn’t want to release

I won’t give in

Not now you see

My arms hold tighter

As the burning screams louder

I blink

the burning escapes

The warmth

The screaming pain

Everything being released

My eyes close tight

My arms around me

Not letting go

For no one seems to care

The one that matters

Is the one that hurts

It’s now to much to bare

No more protection

From the one I need

For I am on my own

For now and ever

For no one really cares

Can You Hear Me

The tall dark shadows loom above Looking up to find that peace Lost in the world Standing alone Calling out “can anyone hear me” No reply ...
